This is a gorgeous piece of claro walnut burl, and it has so many of the unique grain structures that are so unique to the species. There were also a few shallow voids in the form, so I felt justified in a minimal use of resin. This piece was finished with Danish oil and a wax topcoat medley including walnut and carnauba waxes, which add extra durability and sheen. This piece is recommended for display only and is not to be used with water. It measures approximately 9 inches in diameter and 5 inches tall.
